We sleep multiple nights in our tent and live connected to nature. Possible to spend more nights in yurts on demand.
When we are hiking, sleeping in the nature, our comfort level is low. After a few nights out we return to civilization for a good shower, …
This trip is not physical demanding, but still we find ourselves often above 2000m .a.b.s.l.
No technical requirements necessary. All hikes are safe and not exposed. Only basic camping experience is required.

WHAT IT IS ABOUT
During this 2 week trip we visit 3 different mountain areas. Starting a hike to warm up in the Baiboosun nature reserve, continuing with a 4 day trekking, and ending with the high mountains and glacier area around Enilchek. There is also time to relax in with a yurtcamp stay on the shores of the famous Issyk Kul lake. We also visit 3 completely different cities: the capital, Bishkek, our basecamp city in the east, Karakol and the abandoned mine town, Enilchek. HIGHLIGHTS
The Engilchek mountain region
A jeeptour with many spectacular views in a very remote area with yaks and natural hotsprings.

A lovely easy trekking, where the pack horses take care of our luggages so that we can deeply enjoy the landscape also possible to ride by horse
Stay at the Jaichy agro yurtcamp
This yurt camp has great food and accommodation. The surroundings are agricultural lands with mountains in the back. The family running the camp are very skilled farmers, and work hard to preserve the nature of the Baiboosun Naturereserve. This nature reserve is home to many wild animals, including snow leopards.

Food
While being “on the road” we cook our own meals together. The rest of the time we eat out in local restaurants and try out the local cuisine. Please let us know ahead if you are vegetarian, have any allergies or other food requests.
PROGRAM
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek and transfer Jaichy yurt camp.
Day 2: warm up hike towards the Baiboosun Nature Reserve ( natural habitat of the snowleopard)
Day 3-6: 4 day trekking starting near Bokonbaevo, possible to ride by horse or hike with packhorses to transport our luggage. At the end of our trek we get a transferre to a lakeside yurtcamp ( sleeping in tents)
Day 7: Afternoon transfer of 4hrs to Karakol. Visiting the fairy tale canyon along the way.
Day 8 : Visiting Karakol in the morning, Transfer after lunch to Jergelan valley.
Day 9 : Day hike in Jergelan.
Day 10 – 12: Visiting the Enilchek area by 4×4. Included is a day of hiking in Kaindy valley surrounded by 5000m high peaks, visiting the abandoned city Enilchek and visiting pure natural hot springs. ( 2 x guesthouse)
Day 13: Transfer to Bishkek ( 6hrs).
Day 14: Visiting the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. Time f. ex. to buy souvenirs at the bazaar and/or getting a 2$ haircut.
Day 15: Flying home.
