TRIP PROFILE
We discover remote mountain areas on this trip.
We sleep most of the time in our tents or in simple yurt camps
During the main trekking we climb up to 3800m a.b.s.l., on hiking days we walk 5 to 7 hours a day with 1000altitude meters difference. Our luggage always goes on horses.
Basic outdoor camping skills required and a mind for adventure. Also suitable for people without horse riding experience.

Food
During this trip we cook together while camping. The other nights we discover the local cuisine at the yurts or homestays.
PROGRAM
Day 1 – Sunday
Arrival in Bishkek airport
Transfer to Jaichy yurt camp ( 4hrs)
Day 2
Light intro hike Baiboosun nature reserve + packing for 4-day horse trek.
We sleep again in the wonderfull Jaichy yurt camp
Day 3
Transfer to Bokonbaevo (40min)
We buy food for our horse trekking and leave after lunch.
Today is a short stretch by Boz Salkyn yurt camp.
Day 4 -5
Horse trek day 2 and 3 – full day by horse
Sleeping in tent
Day 6
Horse trek day 4
Finishing in Tamga by lunchtime. We say goodbye to our horses and horseguides.
Our tax brings us to our yurt camp at the lakeside of Issyk Kul.
Day 7
After breakfast our car brings us to Karakol (3 hrs driving). We stay in a authentic guesthouse.
Time to wash some clothes and prepare for the 2nd part of our adventure.
Day 8
Today we start our hiking trek in the town of Jergelan.
Our luggage goes on the horses and we only carry our daypack.
Trekking day 1: circa 13 km – 1000hm, sleeping in tent.
Day 9
Trek day 2: circa 15km 1000hm , sleeping in tent.
Day 10
Trek day 3: towards the wonderfull lakes of Boz Uchuk – rest day for the horses. ( many options possible depending on the group)
Day 11
We finish our trek in the village of Boz Uchuk. Afterwards we get back to Karakol by taxi.
Trek day 4: circa 13km 1000hm.
Day 12
Afternoon session Kayaking near Karakol on the Issyk Kul lake.
Day 13
Transfer to Bishkek ( 6hrs).
Time for Bazaar, hairdresser, souvenirs, …
Day 14 saturday
Transfer to the airport.
